David Chai

David Chai

David is currently a second-year law student at The George Washington University Law School. At GW, he is a member of The George Washington Law Review. Over the summer, he worked under the Honorable Justice Carmen R. Velasquez in the New York State Supreme Court and for Congresswoman Grace Meng.

Prior to law school, David interned at a leading Singapore-based investment bank. He received his B.A. in Economics and Mathematics and Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies-Legal Studies from Boston University and Harvard University, respectively. He has prior experience working as a research assistant for two professors at Harvard and wrote his master’s thesis comparing the GDPR with the CCPA and China’s Cybersecurity Law. David is a student member of the Asian Pacific Bar Association – DC.

Outside of law school, David is an avid soccer fan and tennis player. He loves to listen to music and play the cello in his spare time.
